Hi there. Just thought I would split off the sheep discussion from the environmental thread 
...I must say I would really avoid keeping suffolks unless they are cross back on a good crofting breed like the blackface. I don't keep any stock now but I will be moving back to NZ and was starting to make plans.
However I would probably go for a small place and keep fowl. I am fond of chickens, geese and guinea fowl (amongst others).
