There was a documentary on tv the other night about Blondie. Really interesting. They started out in a New York club where Patti Smith also played.
They were really popular in the UK in the seventies.
Pity they all ended up suing one another. I'm not actually sure what all that was about. |

I didn't know they had sued one another, but they certainly had one heck of a following over here.
How popular were they in the US?

Blondie was great. Debbie Harry shows up in a movies now and again.
What an interesting era - Blondy - The Sex Pistols, etc. |

| 80's was definitely the best for music. Blondie was extremely popular here in Canada. Such a shame the band broke up. |

| And how about Toronto band Martha and the Muffins, Echo Beach? That was a big hit here (UK), and a lot of ppl said they sounded similar to Blondie. |
