Don't forget Charlie Pride Remember when he was shunned from joining the "country club" because he was black and Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings refused to become members? They were just way ahead of their time!

I love George Jones, Lorretta Lynn and Charlie pride as well. |

Wow, I am stunned! Just to hear of someone else who sounds so much like me, that is. It was Conway for me, too.... when I first fell in love with country music, I was in my friend's little orange sports car and she had one selection of music... Conway. I listened to "15 Years Ago" and I was hooked. I remember sitting there and wondering where I'd be in 15 years and getting a little scared about that concept.  |
