Does Joni Mitchell count as a hippie? I once saw her interviewed and she mentioned something about "the hippie ideal".
She wrote the song "Woodstock" that was a hit for Matthews Southern Comfort, but she actually missed Woodstock itself due to another commitment! |

| Whether she counts of not she is one incredible singer. Especially the album 'Blue' -- when did that come out? Every song on that one is amazing. I also like the album she did entirely of Leonard Cohen songs. |

Oh, yes, Leonard Cohen - his songs are a bit miserable though, aren't they?
I must get more familiar with Joni Mitchell's work. |

| There was a duet on that one 'Famous Blue Raincoat' where she is Joan of Arc and he is the fire--sort of like a romance. Very interesting. |
