| The 60s was the real hip era because as the 70s started things started to look cheefrful where people became disco goers, the bellbottom, the platform shoes and all those better fashions, and at the end of the 70s people were totally chasing a different lifestyle. That was when gigs and nerds took over because computers were becoming common place. |

There were surely some huge changes between the 60s and 70s. Even thinking about it all, the feeling is different. Do you think it was all technology... or something more? |

| But things had to pick up and if you draw a graph it's like a U shape where the 60s went down to zero from where they were in the 50s and made it back in the 70s, and never went back there till now at least. Because you can't go further than that in America and you can't keep your eyes closed on the prosperity around you because they come at you and things slowly had to lively up. And all those brains started getting busy doing other things and that's how we are here. The punks were great even if bizarre, because they were showing off the material world, and that’s when the material girl did her manifestation. |

If I was a student in America the 60s, I would have been SO all about.....
-The Civil Rights Movement (I woulda been involved in the sit ins and freedom rides etc.)
-The Womens Movement (I would have refused to be a housewife and I woulda crowned the sheep Miss America too!)
-The Student Movement (I would have chosen my own career, smoked weed and gone to university)
-The Peace Movement (I would have smoked what i wanted to, go around saying FLOWER POWER and protested against war.)
IT WOULD HAVE ROCKED! I do this all right now when i can, e.g. anti racism festivals and peace marches. |
