It would be interesting to hear from anyone who remembers the Summer of Love that was celebrated in San Francisco in 1967.

What is San Francisco like these days?

And more to the point, what is the name of the actor who played the lead in the 1970's TV series.
I can see his face but the name won't come.

It sounded similar to somebody else at the time...

GOT IT! Was it Tony Franciosa, or something like that?

Just got it.

The Streets of San Fransisco.

It took me a while.

Remember the name of the other actor as well. James Fransicus(sp)

Oh, right. I don't think I ever watched that.

The streets of San Francisco are very distinctive, aren't they?

I don't know I've never been - besides which I was too busy drooling over the main actor, whichever one he was!

I've been to London and know for sure the streets aren't paved with gold!

I was thinking about how the streets in San Francisco are all hilly - I've been there, but you notice it as well on the tv.

I lived in London for six years on and off. Nice place, but too much traffic, accomodation too expensive.

Ah, yes.

The ideal scenario for street chases. Where else would you go to fly over hill tops like that.

Then again they could always go to Steep Hill in Lincoln.

There must be some great cctv footage of me somewhere.....but that's another story!

Ah, yes - I've been to Lincoln a few times. Really pretty city.

I once did a course in nearby Retford.

I think it's a good history. Sad to say I was not born yet that time.

Does the show had been documented? That was an interesting history.

The show was "The Streets of San Francisco" starring Karl Malden and a very young Michael Douglas. I do not see anyone drooling over Karl Malden...

I think the best movie that showed off SF was "Bullitt" with Steve McQueen - one of the best chase scenes ever.
