Isn't it interesting how the "new wave" of hippies is so uninterested in marijuana (as judging by the other post in this forum) for the most part as opposed to in the 60s and 70s when it was such a big deal? Why do you all think this is?

I think there was some connection between original hippy culture and mj use but not as much as the current stereotypes suggest. Hippy culture is equally connected to an idea of natural highs only--spirituality, love and sex without drug use. I respect either approach but get tired of the automatic assumptions.

Keep in mind that the anti-drug programs probably are at play here also. When I was in school, I learned about the possible side effects of all illegal drugs - marijuana, like heroin and cocaine, was listed with the possible side effect of "death". Uh huh, proof?

There are many drug addicts nowadays especially teenagers. I tried using marijuana before out of curiosity. I guess once is enough.

Marijuana is one of the abused drug now a days and we all know that crimes happened because of using prohibited drugs. So don't try to used it.

There are some cities here in europe ( I am not sure if this news came from Poland or somewhere in this area) you can buy marijuana in the pharmacy. They treat marijuana as one of the medicine. I think marijuana there is legal.
