Ok, it's wasn't a hippie band, but it was the best time I ever had at a concert, and I have been to dozens - from Starship (not Jefferson,) Ozzy - Guns N Roses - & Prince to HeadEast - The Grateful Dead and Dio!
But the ELO show was great. It was outside, at a venue in Las Vegas in 1996. I was with a girlfriend, and another one showed up, too. We had wine coolers; and got a bit of a buzz going, and then the band came onstange. We sang each song- we knew all the words and the anticipation of what song would be next was awesome! We danced and had a great time!
It was a night to remember, dudes! |

| It sounds great! I really like ELO too. Still hear them occasionally on the radio - especially Mr Blue Sky. |

Yeah, Mr Blue Sky is great!
The funny thing was : I saw them about two weeks after that - in a club, with other friends. That time, it wasn't as good.
I mean, the band was great, but the atmosphere was different, just a bunch of drunk idiots dancing. The moment was gone forever. |

| Yeah, drunk idiots dancing up the front do tend to spoil a gig. Generally they are not fans of the band either. |

Right, the whole scene was different.
The most memorable thing about the evening was a total sleeze dancing on a table - without underwear on. Guys were all over her, and she was completely drunk.
I was so disgusted - I went and found the bar manager. I was afraid it was going to turn into a scene from the Jodie Foster movie "The Accused."
Surprisingly, the manager didn't give two hoots. I tried to get the girl out of there - took her to the bathroom and told her she needed to call a cab home before things got out of hand, but she called me a name and went back out there.
I went home.
Who knows what happened to her, but I never went back to that club again. |

Not the best night out ever then, Eerie?
Surely everybody on the planet must have at least one ELO album? I think you get the death penalty for not having one, don't you |
