I was actually banned from ever going to pike place market in Seattle again! It was not for my hemp wear, but my white hummer. They hate it and told me I am not welcome any longer.

Oh well, so be it.

The hummer is a type of car, isn't it?

What is it about the hummer that is so controversial?

We don't have them in the UK.

What a nasty thing for them to do. I think you should start an old fashioned boycott from that place. What does the type of vehicle you drive have to do with anything????

Interesting... I'll be waiting to hear the answer to this one myself! Incredible. Does it have to do with stickers or advertising or something on the hummer?

Truth be told though, the Hummer is probably the most un-green car you can possibly drive. I don't know what Pike Place in Seattle is, but if it's a hippie commune or something, I can see why they'd ban it, sorry to say. Sad

It's a little bit scary, although it looks like a special version of a Jeep, and Jeeps are cool everywhere, because yuppies are also using them. In fact yuppies drive Hummers too, so you must have been out of luck, or it could be your attire.

Well, nobody banned me yet in a certain place. Hopefully, it will not happen to me. What's the feeling of being banned? Do you think it's a big shame?

It hasn't happened to me, but I surely wouldn't let anything shame me... that's not my style. I'd be more annoyed than anything else and I'd look for an even better place to visit. Smile

I didn't experienced being banned anywhere yet. I think it would be frustrating and at the same time embarassing.

I have a friend who was banned in a restaurant not because of his hippie fashion but because of his behavior. He used to look for trouble when he's drunk. After he was banned, he took revenge. He threw a big stone and broke the window glass in the restaurant.

Then he would be definitely banned on that attitude.
