Published in 1957, I guess that Jack Kerouac's "On the Road" is not quite sixties - but it certainly was, by all accounts, and influential book in the sixties, and is still popular today. I enjoyed reading this, and found his accounts of jazz gigs to be very good.
What are your favorite books from the sixties? |
