| Was there ever much of a hippie scene in New York City? Or was it more of a California/West Coast thing? |

| I always thought it was a west coast thing, but I guess that depends on the person. I know plenty of hippies on the east coast. But it was more televised on the west because of rally's and such. |

I think in the UK it was put across in the media as being a bit of a Californian thing.
Or California was put across as being very hippy. |
